Who am I?

I am, first and foremost, a Reformed Christian, I am a member of Redeemer Reformed Church of Oklahoma City and I attend services weekly. I am also a husband to my beautiful wife Debbie, the father to our son who we expect early 2025, and an Oklahoman (born and raised here).

I was raised in the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana) and was a fourth generation member on 3 sides of my family. My family was involved in a church plant for that denomination for the earliest parts of my life and when I was six we began attending Crossings Community Church after they helped us greatly through a family tragedy. At Crossings I learned the basics of the catholic faith and made many friends.

We left Crossings in 2018 for a small SBC church in Mustang. During our time there I was exposed to reformed theology and was (after much research and internal debate) converted to reformed Christianity. In 2024, after we were engaged, Debbie and I left our previous churches and became members of Redeemer Reformed.

When I was twelve my grandfather asked my mother if I could help him on a job and my parents decided that would be good for me. I worked on and off with him for the next five years, learning the trade from a seasoned veteran, until I was brought on as a partner in his business. I learned home repair and maintenance, everything from tiling to insulation, and from painting to door installation. He taught me to take pride in my work, do everything as for the Lord, and respect others as image bearers of God.

I have also been the co-host of a podcast called Poets at War, where we discuss the intersection of culture, arts, and Christianity.
